Chairman's Report - 2002/03

The past year has very much been a year of consolidation with net receipts of £902. Total income for last year rose by 11% to £13,378.

As at 31st March 2003 the net worth of the Trust amounted to £6,116.

The Harvesters Trust has raised more than £90,000 and given away more than £70,000 since being formed in 1993. Supporters filling special savings tins with their loose change have collected more than £8,000.

Operating expenses for 2003 equate to just 6.5 pence in the pound, reinforcing our aim of keeping operating costs to an absolute minimum.

The Trust continues to support pastors in Uganda, Zimbabwe, India, Serbia, Romania, Spain and Russia as well as 4 UK based workers / organisations. The Trust also funds a feeding program in Russia for 300 people.

Ten special grants were made last year. These included grants to a children’s orphanage in Pskov, Russia and funding for mission trips to Kenya and Uganda.

The Harvesters Trust cannot function without the generous help and loyal support of many people. Once again, we want to thank you all so much.

We would especially like to thank Mr Chris Hindley F.C.A. for independently checking and auditing the financial accounts.

Yours in Christ

Michael Wood
Chairman
