Chairman's Report - 2003/04

The Trust celebrated its’ 10th Anniversary during the course of the year. Overall results have been slightly disappointing with a NET deficit over the year of £1,496. Total income for last year fell by 27% to £9,712.

As at 31st March 2004 the net worth of the Trust amounted to £4,620.

The Harvesters Trust has raised more than £100,000 and given away more than £80,000 since being formed in 1993. Supporters filling special savings tins with their loose change have collected more than £9,000.

Operating expenses for the year equate to just 9 pence in the pound, reinforcing our aim of keeping operating costs to an absolute minimum.

During the course of the year the Trust supported pastors in Zimbabwe, India, Serbia, Spain and Russia as well as 6 UK based workers / organisations.

Numerous special grants were made last year. These included grants to build a kindergarten in Lujon, Argentina; funding for mission trips to Romania, Kenya, Uganda, Tibet, Brazil & Australia; and the purchase of 1000’s of Christian books for Ugandan schoolchildren.

The Harvesters Trust cannot function without the generous help and loyal support of many people. Once again, we want to thank you all so much.

We would especially like to thank Mr Chris Hindley F.C.A. for independently checking and auditing the financial accounts.

Yours in Christ

Michael Wood
