Chairman's Report - 2004/05

The activities of the Trust during the course of this year were limited due to a long-term illness suffered by the Trust Chairman. Thankfully he is now restored to full health. Even so, the results were reasonably good indicating that the Trust can function independently of the Chairman, at least to a certain extent.

Overall results indicate a NET increase in funds over the year of £1,976 despite total income for last year falling by 14% to £8,532. Operating expenses for the year equate to under 8 pence in the pound.

As at 31st March 2005 the net worth of the Trust amounted to £6,596.

The Harvesters Trust has raised more than £110,000 and given away more than £85,000 since being formed in 1993. Supporters filling special savings tins with their loose change have collected more than £10,000.

During the course of the year the Trust supported pastors in South Africa, India, Serbia, Spain and Zambia as well as 4 UK based workers/organisations. A number of special grants were also made including a grant to help build a medical centre in Guatemala.

The Harvesters Trust cannot function without the generous help and support of many people. Once again, we want to thank you all so much.

We would like to thank Mr Chris Hindley F.C.A. for independently checking and auditing the financial accounts.

Yours in Christ

Michael Wood
Chairman
18th January 2006
On behalf of the Board of Trustees.
