Bricks for Pastor Henry - December 2007
Keith & Charlotte Shackleton write ....
In December 2007 we visited Pastor Henry from Nkondo with a gift from The Harvesters Trust.
Nkondo is a remote village in the bush, north of Kampala, Uganda, East Africa.
Pastor Henry oversees the church (see building below) which he has recently rebuilt after his former structure was destroyed by storms in 2007.
In 2006 his single storey house collapsed and he is currently rebuilding it for himself, his wife and five children. So far he has dug all the sand, made all his own bricks and and has completed two rooms.
When we informed him we had brought a gift from The Harvesters Trust charity in UK to use for his immediate needs, he smiled and said “I will buy cement!”
He was very thankful for this, as it will now enable him to finish building his house. Pastor Henry sent his love and grateful thanks to all concerned.
