Chairman's Report - 2006/07

The activities of the Trust during the course of this year were limited due to the sheer time pressure which all the Trustees were under. Even so, the Trust continues to function and many lives were touched during the year. Basically, the Trust “does what it can, not what it cannot”.

Overall results indicate a net decrease in funds over the year of £950, with total income for last year falling by 5% to £5,613.

Grant expenditure fell slightly by 4% to £5,980.

As at 31st March 2007 the net worth of the Trust amounted to £4,282.

The Harvesters Trust has raised more than £120,000 and given away more than £95,000 since being formed in 1993. Supporters filling special savings tins with their loose change have collected more than £11,000.

During the course of the year the Trust continued to support pastors in South Africa, India, Serbia and Zambia as well as 4 UK based workers / organisations. A number of special grants were also made including two grants to Uganda and two grants to Argentina.

During November 2006 the Chairman went on a two week mission trip to Brazil & Argentina. Almost £2500 was raised for distributing and it was possible to financially bless many lives as well as fund a number of larger projects. A special thank you goes out to all those who donated funds.

The Harvesters Trust cannot function without the generous help and support of many people. Once again, we want to thank you all so much.

We would like to thank Mr Chris Hindley F.C.A. for independently checking and auditing the financial accounts.

Yours in Christ

Michael Wood
Chairman
9th June 2007
